The title race appeared over to all extensive purposes two weeks ago. However, Arsenal’s victory over Manchester United last Sunday has offered a glimmer of hope for Chelsea, who sit three points behind Fergie’s side in the league. Carlo Ancelloti will now bring his troops to Old Trafford on Sunday knowing that only a win will do as they look to snatch the title from under United’s noses. The first Classic of the flat season is upon us tomorrow at Newmarket where the supposedly bombproof Frankel hopes to prove he is a very special horse. Currently priced 8/15, anyone who didn’t back him antepost a long time ago won’t be tempted to pile in at those odds. 2000 Guineas Preview & Betting Guide

The racing world is full of two year olds who threatened to be superstars at three but never lived up to their potential. Indeed only last year St Nicholas Abbey willing obliged in the role (although he only had one outing). At Newmarket on Saturday we’ll have the warmest favourite for the 2000 Guineas since Celtic Swing back in 1995.
